In this moment

In this moment...

Nicholas is off to soccer practice for the second time this week. Steve is there, waiting on me to come and switch out parent duty so he can head off to Bible study.

Luke is taking his 30 minutes of screen time to watch an episode of Beyblades on Netflix. He is anxiously showing me excellent behavior in an attempt to earn back video game privileges after a 4 week absence.

I am sitting among no less than six piles of folded laundry, listening to the dryer prepare the next load for my folding pleasure. I'm also waiting on a laundry fairy to come and put away all these lovely folded piles.

Tonight X-Factor comes on. I am irrationally pleased about this.

I get to have my medical ultrasound in the morning and see baby Kate on television. I am fervently praying that she is still Kate and has not grown into an Andrew in the past two weeks. Her first smocked dresses came in the mail today. They are so amazingly sweet and I just can't believe that some day I'll have a little girl to put in them.

One of my preschoolers asked me yesterday if my baby was naked. I said "well, yes she is. All babies are." Her reply? "Yeah, I was naked in my mommy too. But now I'm starting to grow half boobies. Ms. Marianne, are you going to grow your whole boobies?" I laugh as I remember this. That girl is too funny for words. She makes me laugh. Preschoolers are awesome. Even when they are not.
